Info: Relief Society Magazine, was the official publication of the Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from 1915 to 1970. The magazine was an important publishing outlet for Utah women, and was run by women editors. The founding editor, Susa Young Gates, edited the magazine from 1915 to 1922.

The December 1970 issue of the Relief Society Magazine was its last. The LDS Church discontinued the magazine as part of the implementation of the Priesthood Correlation Program. Thus, the magazine, and several others within the church, was replaced by the Ensign.

1st edition: 1938. There is writing on the first page ("Arnold Christensen. December 1942. 726 Kliby et."), but the pages are very clean, and for what I can see, there are no pen or pencil marks. The binding is in really good shape with just a slight discoloration on the front edges of the binding.

(SOLD) Improvement Era, Volume 63. 1960

12 volumes of the 1960 Improvement Era magazine, the official magazine of the LDS Church before the Ensign, bound in beautiful hard cover.

It is fascinating to see the content, not only for the talks and to see what it was important to LDS people back in that time, but because of all the "non-correlated" illustrations and advertisement, something we don't see anymore in the church publications.

It includes elder Kimball's controversial talk on the "Lamanites" going white as they participate of the gospel's ordinances.

(SOLD) Songs of Zion, 1908

This is quite a historical artifact. A compilation of church songs for missionaries. The book is falling apart (the binding is pretty much gone), but the pages themselves are in good shape. The inside of the front cover has pen writing, other than that, it is really clean.

It includes the infamous hymn "Oh Stop and Tell Me, Redman."
